The Montana Department of Revenue mailed 2016 livestock per capita fee bills this week. Payment is due by May 31. Livestock owners can pay online at or by mail with a check.

The Montana Department of Revenue is mailing livestock reporting forms this week to Montanans who own livestock and need to meet upcoming reporting and payment deadlines. All livestock owners need to report by March 1, 2016, any livestock they own as of February 1. Livestock per capita fees are due May 31 instead of November 30 to decrease the time between reporting and payment. Livestock owners are now able to report and pay online at the same time and track their reporting history.

Helena – The Montana Department of Revenue is mailing livestock per capita fee bills this week. For the first time, livestock owners can pay online at In the past, they could just report online. Payments are due on November 30 either electronically or by mail.

The Environmental Quality Council (EQC) will review  changes to proposed rules that guide special hunts designed to reduce the damage game animals cause to land or crops.

That’s why the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) and the Department of Livestock are collaborating again this year to help prevent illnesses transmitted from animals to humans.
