The Montana Department of Revenue opened its first competitive bidding for alcohol beverages licenses since the new law was passed during the 2017 legislative special session in November. 

The Montana Department of Revenue announces a new property tax assistance program to help residential property owners whose land value is disproportionately higher than the value of their home.
 

The leadership of the Montana Legislature meets in Bozeman Dec. 13 to solicit  ideas for improving the people's branch of government. The meeting convenes at 10:30 a.m. in the Plant Biosciences Building, Room 108, on the MSU campus.

The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee and the House Joint Resolution 20 Subcommittee on transparency in health care pricing will not meet as scheduled next week, due to potential conflicts with the special legislative session that begins on Nov. 14.

The Law and Justice Interim Committee (LJIC) has canceled its Nov. 15-16 meeting. The meeting was canceled due to a special session called for that week. The LJIC's previously scheduled January 29, 2018, meeting will be extended one day to accommodate the agenda items planned for November.

The legislature's State Administration and Veterans' Affairs Interim Committee has canceled its November 14 meeting. SAVA's next meeting will be January 18.

The Legislative Services Division announced today that the Montana State Senate Committee on Committees released the tentative agenda for its November 10 conference call at 2:00 p.m. in room 102 of the state Capitol building in Helena.
