HELENA—Montana’s Office of Public Instruction is holding the 12th Annual Indian Education for All Best Practices Conference on March 4th and 5th at Carroll College in Helena. Over 200 teachers and administrators are gathering to share knowledge, skills, and classroom materials to support the implementation of Indian Education for All.

HELENA—The Office of Public Instruction’s Indian Education Division will host three Indian Education Youth Conferences next month. The conferences will be held at MSU-Northern on March 14-16, Browning High School on March 21-22, and Salish Kootenai College on March 26-28.

Helena—The College Board announced the class of 2017 Advanced Placement results today. Montana saw a slight increase in the percentage of students taking an AP exam and scoring a 3 or higher on the exam.

HELENA – DEQ Risk Assessor Aimee Reynolds will present on “Dioxins and Protecting Public Health” at a community educational event Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Quarry Brewing in Butte.

 

Reynolds has worked as a risk assessment scientist at DEQ for more than two decades and is currently Bureau Chief of DEQ’s Contaminated Site Cleanup Bureau. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a background in biology, ecology and toxicology. Reynolds will speak about how scientists evaluate dioxins and furans and determine appropriate cleanup levels for protection of human health and the environment at Superfund Sites. This educational event is hosted by the Citizens Technical Environmental Committee of Butte.
