Governor Bullock Continues to Encourage Funding Land and Water Conservation Fund

Helena, Mont. – In response to the hearing in Congress before House Natural Resources on reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), Montana Governor Steve Bullock again urged Congress to support full mandatory funding and permanent reauthorization of the LWCF, which expired in September.

The State Administration and Veterans' Affairs Interim Committee has received 23 letters from members of the legislature objecting to 16 proposed new and revised campaign finance rules. By law, this requires the committee to conduct a poll of the legislature about legislative intent when it passed campaign finance law revisions during the 2015 session.

Governor Bullock Signs Executive Order Creating Interim Montana Clean Power Plan Advisory Council

Today, Governor Steve Bullock issued an executive order creating the Interim Montana Clean Power Plan Advisory Council.  The Council will gather information and provide recommendations on policies and actions necessary for the State of Montana to keep control over its energy future, protecting Montana’s economy and quality of life.
