MT Dept. of Revenue Seeks Volunteers to Provide Training to Liquor Establishments

Helena – The Montana Department of Revenue is seeking volunteers to help implement Let’s Control It, the agency’s training program for responsible alcohol sales and service. The volunteers would provide training to Montana liquor license holders about the state’s requirements for selling and serving alcohol.

“We rely on volunteers to conduct our trainings and we really appreciate their efforts and the time they invest,” said Department of Revenue Director Mike Kadas.

Interested individuals can find the trainer criteria and download a trainer application at www.AlcoholServerTraining.mt.gov. The department is accepting applications until March 31, 2018. Completed applications can be emailed to AlcoholServerTraining@mt.gov or faxed to (406) 444-0722.

“Our agency tries to make sure that liquor licensees have the knowledge and skills they need to ensure public health and safety and to stay in compliance with the law,” said Lisa Scates, Alcohol Education Coordinator for the Liquor Control Division.

For more information, call Kacey Collins, Liquor Education Training Developer, (406) 444-6457 or email KCollins@mt.gov.
