MT Department of Revenue Seeks Volunteers to Train Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service

HELENA – The Montana Department of Revenue would like to remind volunteers that March 31 is the deadline to apply for Let’s Control It, the agency’s training program for responsible alcohol sales and service. The volunteers train Montana liquor license holders about the state’s requirements for selling and serving alcohol.

“For the past nine years, we’ve relied on volunteers to conduct our trainings and we really appreciate their efforts and the time they invest,” said Department of Revenue Director Mike Kadas.

The department is accepting applications and supplemental questions until March 1. You can find the application, supplemental questions, and trainer requirements at AlcoholServerTraining.mt.gov. You can apply online, or call (406) 444-4307 to request application materials by mail. If you apply on paper, send your completed materials to Department of Revenue, Liquor Control Division, Education Unit, P.O. Box 1712, Helena, MT 59624. Or, fax materials to (406) 444-0718.

“Our agency works to make sure liquor licensees have the knowledge and skills they need to ensure public health and safety and to comply with the law,” said Lisa Scates, alcohol education coordinator for the department’s Liquor Control Division.
