MONTANANS WHO DIDN’T GO DOWN WITH THE TITANIC TOPIC AT MHS

Not everybody went down with the Titanic when it sunk into history.

On Wednesday (Feb. 15 at 10:45 at the Montana Historical Society MHS Reference Historian Zoe Ann Stoltz will present a free public program, “ Montanans on the Titanic,” to tell the stories of those that survived and went on to leave their mark on the history of Montana.

Stoltz said millionaires, miners and homesteaders were aboard the ill-fated vessel on their way to Montana in search of opportunity and a new life. Some perished, but several amazing people lived to tell their stories that Stoltz has collected over the years.

The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Montana Historical Society, and information will be available to those interested in joining MHS’ invaluable volunteer corps that now numbers more than 130.
