A subcommittee studying transparency in health care pricing will examine the factors involved in pricing and reimbursement of health care services when it meets Jan. 17 in Helena.

The coal outlook  is just one of several issues on the agenda for the Environmental Quality Council (EQC) at its meeting Jan. 17-18. The bipartisan panel of legislators and public members meets in room 172 of the Capitol starting at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 17.

A majority of the members of an interim legislative committee have decided that four rules reducing reimbursement rates for providers of health care and human services have been changed in a way that addresses an objection the committee made to the rules.

The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee and the House Joint Resolution 20 Subcommittee on transparency in health care pricing will not meet as scheduled next week, due to potential conflicts with the special legislative session that begins on Nov. 14.

The Law and Justice Interim Committee (LJIC) has canceled its Nov. 15-16 meeting. The meeting was canceled due to a special session called for that week. The LJIC's previously scheduled January 29, 2018, meeting will be extended one day to accommodate the agenda items planned for November.

The legislature's State Administration and Veterans' Affairs Interim Committee has canceled its November 14 meeting. SAVA's next meeting will be January 18.
