Governor Bullock, Secretary Jewell, Western Governors Announce Sage Grouse Does Not Warrant Listing on Endangered Species Act

Governor Steve Bullock today joined Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and other western governors to announce that the US Department of Interior has decided the Greater Sage-grouse does not warrant protection under the Endangered Species Act.

Governor Steve Bullock announced today 16 Montana counties have received a total of $1.8 million in state funds designed to create or improve existing jail diversion and crisis intervention strategies at the local level for people in a mental health crisis.
