The Law and Justice Interim Committee (LJIC) will meet March 8-9 in Helena. The meeting starts at 10 a.m. on March 8 in Room 137 and continues at 8 a.m. on March 9. A tentative agenda and other meeting materials are now available at the committee's website: www.leg.mt.gov/ljic.
On the morning and afternoon of March 8, the LJIC will hear updates from the Judicial Branch, the Department of Justice, the Board of Crime Control, and the Department of Corrections. The committee will continue its work on the SJ 24 study of sexual assault in Montana the afternoon of March 8. On March 9, the LJIC will undertake a review of Montana's existing sexual assault statutes and consider possible changes.
