State-Tribal Relations Committee Considers Support for S. 1419

The State-Tribal Relations Committee will meet by conference call on November 4 at 10 a.m. to discuss whether to send letters of support to the Montana Congressional Delegation regarding S. 1419, the Native Language Immersion Student Achievement Act sponsored by U.S. Senator Jon Tester.

Members of the public may attend the meeting in person at the Capitol in Helena in Room 102 or submit written comments.

Senate members of the STRC are Chairman Jonathan Windy Boy, D-Box Elder; Jill Cohenour, D-East Helena; Jennifer Fielder, R-Thompson Falls; and Kristin Hansen, R-Havre.

House members are Vice-Chairman Alan Doane, R-Bloomfield; Edward Greef, R-Florence; George Kipp, III, D-Heart Butte; and Zac Perry, D-Hungry Horse.
