ORIGINAL GOVERNOR’S MANSION OPEN DURING ROOF REPAIRS

The Original Governor’s Mansion will be undergoing roof repairs for about 45 days, depending on spring rainfall, but it will not affect tours or public access.

The project includes replacing all roof shingles and flashing, repointing chimneys, and replacing gutters and some downspouts. The Montana Historical Society said use of some areas will be limited to ensure visitor safety.

The OGM is open Saturdays only through May 14, and summer hours begin May 15 with guided tours at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
