BILLINGS – At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday May 27, Montana Women’s Prison inmate Christina Becker, DOC # 3013318, escaped from the Billings correctional facility.

According to Associate Warden Bob Paul, Inmate Becker was assigned to the garden maintenance crew and apparently left the prison over the garden’s perimeter fence on the east side of the facility.

Paul said the prison initiated emergency procedures and immediately notified law enforcement agencies in the surrounding areas of the escape. The Department of Corrections considers any escapee dangerous and urges anyone with information about the woman to contact local law enforcement immediately.

Becker, 26, is 5'3", 153 lbs., and has blonde hair, blue eyes and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing grey shorts and a dark navy-blue t-shirt.  Becker was serving a five-year sentence for criminal possession of dangerous drugs and a consecutive three-year sentence for escape in connection with walking away from a prerelease center.

Currently, 209 women are housed at the women’s prison.

More information on the escapee, including photos and physical descriptions, can be found on the Correctional Offender Network at: https://app.mt.gov/conweb
