Montana State Library Distributes $222,492 in Montana Land Information Act Grants

HELENA - The Montana State Library is pleased to announce the recipients of the State’s fiscal year 2017 Montana Land Information Act (MLIA) grants.

The amount awarded this year was $222,492. Recipients include Lewis and Clark County, McCone County, Lake County, Carbon County, Powell County, City of Belgrade, Park County, Hill County, City of Lewistown, Montana Department of Commerce, Miles City, and Teton County.

The purpose of the MLIA is to develop standardized sustainable methods to collect, maintain, and disseminate information in digital formats about the natural and artificial land characteristics of Montana. Approved projects included improvements to local road, infrastructure and parcel data that will eventually be integrated into statewide databases.
