Legislative Audit Committee to review the 2016 State of Montana financial audit. Additional reports for the February meeting will address the state’s pension systems and investments, Brucellosis Management in the State of Montana, and Oversight of Discretionary Pay Changes for State Employees.
The Legislative Audit Committee (LAC) will meet Thursday, February 16, 2017, in Room 472 of the State Capitol. The Legislative Audit Committee ensures accountability for the disposition and use of public funds, and the efficient and effective management of state government programs. The committee meets regularly to review independent audit reports, interact with audited agencies, and advise and consult with the Legislative Auditor and the staff of the Legislative Audit Division.
Reports scheduled for review in February include: Department of Justice, Public Employees Retirement Board, Teacher’s Retirement Board, Montana Board of Investments, Brucellosis Management in the State of Montana, State of Montana, and Oversight of Discretionary Pay Changes for State Employees.
