HISTORY OF THE HISTORIC SIEBEN RANCH TOPIC AT MONTANA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

                The Sieben Ranch near Helena has served as a stagecoach stop, been the site of great sheep industry in the state, been a place where history was made in many ways including raising up United States'  Senator Max Baucus.

                On Wednesday (Jan. 18) at 10:45 a.m. at the Montana Historical Society Interpretive Historian Ellen Baumler will present ”Stopping along the Way” that will explore the area’s prehistory and recorded history that will reveal some surprising occupants, a diversity of human experience, a depth of contribution and a pattern of stewardship for the land that continues today

The program is presented by the Friends of the Montana Historical Society, who will be available to talk to people interested in joining MHS’ premier volunteer support group.
