The first meeting of the 2015-2016 Energy and Telecommunications Interim Committee (ETIC) is June 5.
The organizational meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in Room 172 of the State Capitol.
The ETIC, at its first meeting of the interim, is required to review the state energy policy and determine if future meetings should be dedicated to revising the policy and recommending changes to the 2017 Legislature.
During the June 5 meeting in Helena, the ETIC will accept public comment about the energy policy and determine if the committee should, at future meetings, discuss issues to be included in a revised policy. Montana's energy policy includes a wide range of goals. It can be viewed HERE

During the June 5 meeting, committee members also will adopt a draft work plan, mapping out their work for the interim, and elect a presiding officer and vice-presiding officer.
